Gluten Free Granola Cups.

Calling All Gluten Free Lovers!

I saw a recipe for mini granola cups on Facebook – you know, one of those video recipe posts that are always popping up on your newsfeed making  just about anything look super simple to make?   Well, I decided to give it a try for our Easter brunch yesterday and it was delicious!

I modified the recipe a bit because my sister is on a gluten free diet so I substituted the use of regular oats with gluten free ones.  It was surprisingly easy to prepare and quite the hit at the party!

Now you try!


Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Take two ripe bananas and mash them in a bowl.

Add 100 grams of honey.

1 teaspoon of cinnamon.

Add 125 grams of Gluten Free Oats. (You can also use regular, steel cut, or any other that you prefer)

OPTIONAL: I added 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts

Mix it until you get a soft granola -like texture.

Put the mix in to mini cup cake pans, molding it with your hands to make an indent at the top to give it a cup-like shape.

Put the pans in the oven for about 15 minutes (as soon as you see the edges brown it’s time) and wa-lah, they’re finished!

Now- because they’re in the shape of a (mini) cup it’s up to you what you want to add.  The video on Facebook called for a scoop of yogurt with some fruit on top (delish + perfect for any brunch).  My personal favorite has been a modified version of this with a scoop of vanilla greek yogurt and honey drizzled on top.  I have also tried it with a scoop of nutella- whoops.
